Launcher Trends ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Computer Launcher application ("App") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The majority of your data never leaves your device. The following is stored locally using Android SharedPreferences:
- • Desktop layout: Shortcut positions, folder arrangements, and desktop icon placements
- • App preferences: Icon sizes, grid settings, theme preferences, wallpaper selection
- • Start menu preferences: Pinned apps, tile layout, and menu customizations
- • XCenter settings: Quick toggle preferences and notification panel configuration
- • Onboarding state: Whether the first-run setup has been completed
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect certain information through analytics and crash reporting services:
- • App usage analytics: Feature usage patterns, screen views, and session data. We do not track the content of your notifications, the names of your contacts, or other personal content.
- • Device information: Device model, manufacturer, OS version, app version, screen resolution, and locale
- • Crash reports: Stack traces, device state at time of crash, and error logs
- • Subscription status: Your tier (Free or Pro) — no payment details are collected
1.3 Information Accessed with Your Permission
The App requests certain device permissions at runtime. Data accessed through these permissions is used only for the stated purpose and is not transmitted to our servers:

2. How We Use Your Information
- •Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features and user experience

- •Save and restore your preferences and customizations
- •Display notification badge counts and notification list in XCenter
- •Provide file management through This PC (browse internal storage, SD card, USB drives)
- •Deliver advertisements (free tier) and process in-app purchases
- •Analyze crash reports to identify and fix bugs
- •Comply with legal obligations
3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We share information with the following third-party service providers. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
3.1 Analytics and Crash Reporting

- •Firebase Remote Config: Feature flags and ad configuration. Privacy Policy

3.2 Advertising Partners
The free version serves advertisements through AppLovin MAX mediation. These partners may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads:

You can remove all ads by purchasing the Pro version (one-time purchase, no subscriptions).
3.3 Other Service Providers
- •Google Play Billing: In-app purchase processing (purchase tokens, no payment card data)
4. Advertising and Your Choices
The App uses AppLovin MAX as the primary ad mediation platform. MAX mediates between Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, StartApp, and other ad networks. Ad placements include interstitials on app return and banner ads. Ad placements are controlled via Firebase Remote Config.
The App uses AppLovin's Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) for GDPR/ePrivacy compliance. You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising through Settings > Google > Ads.
You can remove all advertisements by purchasing the Pro version (one-time purchase, no subscriptions).
5. Data Storage and Security
- •Local Storage: The vast majority of your data is stored exclusively on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This includes desktop layout, shortcuts, icon sizes, grid settings, start menu preferences, XCenter settings, and theme/wallpaper preferences.
- •No External Database: We do NOT maintain any external database, server, or cloud storage containing user data. No user account system exists.
- •Android Backup: SharedPreferences may be included in Android's cloud backup if enabled on your device.
- •Security: All network communications use secure HTTPS connections. Local data is protected by Android's application sandbox.
6. Data Retention
- •Local data: Retained until you uninstall the App, clear app data, or manually reset preferences
- •Crash reports: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days
- •Analytics data: Retained per Firebase default retention policy
- •Ad-related data: Managed by respective ad network partners per their policies
7. Your Rights and Choices
- •Deletion: Clear all local data via Settings > Apps > Computer Launcher > Storage > Clear Data, or uninstall the App
- •Permissions: Revoke any permission via Settings > Apps > Computer Launcher > Permissions
- •Ad consent: Modify via consent dialog or device ad settings
- •Opt-out of analytics: Disable Usage & Diagnostics in device settings
For EEA/UK Residents (GDPR): You have additional rights including access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to object to or restrict processing.
For California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale. We do not sell your personal information.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete such information.
9. International Data Transfers
Analytics data, crash reports, and ad-related data may be processed by Google (Firebase), AppLovin, Meta, and StartApp on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. These transfers are protected by the privacy policies of the respective service providers.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App's store listing and updating the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
